Ordering Process

• Select the suite that best fits the aesthetic of your wedding.

• Purchase the invitation or suite by selecting quantities and paper type. 

(It’s recommended to add 10-15% extra for last-minute guest list additions and keepsakes before placing your order.)

We require a minimum order of 25 cards. We accept orders in increments of 5 for US orders and 25 for international orders. Please order accordingly.


• Submit your custom details: 

Please provide the exact wording you would like to appear on all stationery selected, as well as color preferences and any extra pertinent details. 

Please do NOT use UPPERCASE throughout the text, rather use capitalization only when grammatically correct (pronoun, proper nouns, etc.).


• Any additional design fees associated with your order (custom illustrations, font changes, several color change rounds, foreign language, etc.) are payable in advance 

REQUIREMENTS for custom illustrations:

We do rely on you to provide us with the photograph(s) needed to create the artwork(s), and it is our goal to establish the desired artwork in the very first sample. If new reference photos are provided after the first artwork sample is created requiring a new design direction/changing anything, additional design fees are applicable.

Due to the nature of this artwork and the amount of time needed to create it, your work will be based on ONE image only. We cannot redo your work with a second photo after sending your proof. Please be sure to send the photo you'd like us to use before we begin working. If you send multiple photos and allow me to choose the one to use, please know that I will choose the best option and cannot change this choice after creating your proof.


For each illustration, you would need to provide us with ONE big (high-resolution) and clear picture of the subject. We cannot change the perspective or the proportion of the subject (venue, landscape, so please send a photo accordingly.


• Select the other parts of the invitation suite that you would require for your invitations.

Complete the purchase


• You'll receive your first digital proof in 1-5 business days after payment and all wording, instruction, and photo(s)

(if applicable) received.

•  There are two minor revision rounds included., conditions apply. Additional proofs will be charged $40 each.

• All proofing is done via digital files sent to your email address.

Please note that texture is not showing on the digital proofs and as the proofs are not actual photographs of your final product, therefore a slight difference is expected due to the paper stock.


Original art remains the property of A la Carte Paperie.

You, the client is responsible for...

  • Supplying text that is without mistakes.

  • Ensuring that any supplied images do not conflict with copyright laws.

  • Checking proofs for text errors or incorrect images.

  • Order invitations in time: give yourself plenty of time to order wedding invitations. You should order invitations 3-4 months before the wedding. You will want to have them assembled and addressed in time to send them 6-8 weeks before the wedding (even more for a destination wedding). A la Carte would not take responsibility for late orders.


    •  Once you are 100% happy with your design, you need to approve your design. 

    Orders enter the print production queue after your final approval.

    PRINTIng and shipping

    • We print your cards in 3-10 business days after final approval.

    • You'll receive an email with the tracking info for your package.

    Any dates quoted for delivery of orders are approximate only. A la Carte Paperie is not liable for orders received late and any possible delay in delivery of your order.

    We DO ship outside the USA.

    Ownership of Work

    All original designs, art, and imagery on this website or purchased products and services remain the property of A la Carte Paperie. You may not reproduce the design, art, and imagery nor may derivative works be made without the written permission of the Owner.

    Rush Orders

    All orders are fulfilled in the order in which they are received. If you are in a rush, choose our rush processing service. Rush orders are treated with urgency on all fronts, but we still take the same care from the design and production standpoint. 

    With rush orders we bump your order to the front of the line: Your order will be answered in 24 business hours; after proof approval, we print in 1-3 days and ship your cards with UPS overnight service (the USA and Canada).


    A few notes:

    •  All rush orders are payable in advance (design, printing, rush and shipping fees) before we start the design process.

    •  Orders must be received on or before Thursday, before 4 PM EST, and 48 hours before US holidays.



    USA orders 

    Rush fee charge: 

    Cost for Rush Processing is 50% upcharge (order subtotal + 50%).

    Minimum US$175


    Other destinations

    Cost for Rush Processing is 50% upcharge (order subtotal + 50%).

    Minimum US$150  + expedited shipping fees depending on destination and delivery speed.


    As per availability - please inquire first.
    When your order is received Thursday after business hours (4 PM EST)

    Friday, weekends or US holidays.
    add $75 to regular Rush fees.


    If you need to re-order cards after your design is approved and printed, the minimum re-order is 25 for each type (invite, RSVP, insert...)  and the volume discount will not be provided based on the total number of cards you already ordered. The additional price charged will be the true cost of the additional cards. 


    So it’s best to determine your needed quantity by counting households, not guests, then adding 15-20% extra for last-minute guest list additions and keepsakes before placing your order.
